The symposium will take place at the Universität Wien, founded in 1365 by Rudolf IV as one of the first European universities. Situated on the magnificent Ringstraße surrounding the historic center, the University is within walking distance of most of the famous sites, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the famous museums, the Opera, and the Emperor’s Palace. Cafes and widespread parks in the vicinity of the city center as well as the Wienerwald and the Danube offer excellent comfort, leisure, and recreation facilities.
